THE VILLAGE OF KYPSELI

Kypseli village is located 62km from the city of Arta at an altitude of 600m. The village consists of the settlements of Loutsa, Kalloni, Agia Evaggelistria, Roupakia and Ai-Giorgis. p>
The visitor can visit one of the most important museums of Tzoumerka, the Folklore Museum of Pantelis Chr. Karalis. With more than 1,800 objects, including agricultural pastry and household items, local weapons and costumes, wood carvings, woven textiles, embroidery, coins, tools of various professionals, the museum records more than 2 centuries of Tzoumerka's history.

- FOLKLORE MUSEUM OF ART AND LIFE P.KARALI
The Museum of folklore art and life is located in the village of Kypseli, Arta. The collection of items shown is the result of a 30 year old effort from collector P. Karalis and includes countless cultural and utilitarian objects of life in Tzoumerka during the last centuries, such as tools for agricultural and domestic use, weapons and traditional costumes, wood carvings, , embroideries, coins, various professional tools and more.
- EVAGGELISTRIAS MONASTERY
The historic Evangelistria monastery is located outside the village of Kypseli, Arta. The only thing preserved from the entire monastery is its main stone-built temple, dating back to 1700. Although small in size, the interior is decorated with excellent frescoes of whole saints and religious depictions.
- RED CHURCH
Notre Vella or Red Church is located outside the Vourgareli village, right next to the main road that leads from Arta to Trikala. It was established in 1281 during the Komninodoukades dynasty by the Tsimiski Brothers. The church is built by the standards of the Byzantine architecture and it is the main temple of the monastery. The temple is dedicated to the birth of the Virgin Mary which is celebrated on September 8.
- ST.GEORGE MONASTERY
The temple of St. George was established in 1690 and was the main temple of the monastery, which flourished in the 19th century. The wall paintings of the temple were made in 1714 by Kalarrytian painters, arranged in zones. There is a wooden icon in the temple with plant and bird depictions carved on it, which is dated back to the 18th century. Of all the relics of the monastery, the most important is a silver reliquary of 1895. The bed and cells of the monastery were constructed later. The monastery of St. Georgios, played an important role as the revolt of the region was being prepared in 1821, but also covered the religious needs of the people of the area when the Germans burnt the St. Nicholas church.
- "MEGALI VRYSI" BRIDGE
It is located in the homonymous location in the village of Vourgareli, on the road to Athamanio. Bridges the tributary of Arachthos. Its construction dates back in the late 19th century.
