ST. PARASKEYH MONASTERY
The monastery of Agia Paraskevi is located between the villages of Pramanta and Melissourgoi, among the foothills of Strogoula peak. It was established around 1878. During the years 1908-1912, it was the seat of chieftain John Poutetsi and was used as a hospital for the wounded of the military resistance against the German occupation. According to tradition, this is the region where Theodora Petraleifa (13th century) later known as St. Theodora stayed in exile.
